One hundred years ago, masons in the employ of the St. Clair Edison power company set the foundation bulwark for a new electrical sub-station in Royal Oak, Michigan, that would power the streetcars running up Woodward Avenue from 8 Mile Road to the city of Pontiac. Today that same well-lit cellar space is now called Cloverleaf Fine Wine and is stocked with fine wines from France, Italy, Spain, California and all over the world--as well as one of the state's best collections of artisan beers and ales.
Cloverleaf's legacy as a leading Detroit-area retailer for wine began in Southfield, Michigan, where the store established a reputation for finding excellent values, products new to Michigan, the most interesting natural wines, and a well-articulated collection of craft beers.
Our new location is just a 10-minute drive out 696 to Main Street, then proceed north ½ mile just past Lincoln. The new address is 711 S. Main. The new space -- besides being just plain cool -- is significantly larger and has given us the chance to stock more great wines, beers, and specialty drinks and food items.
